Coupon Packaging for Hobby Photographers

This guide demonstrates how to create a unique and creative packaging for gift coupons, specifically tailored for hobby photographers, using upcycled materials. The core concept involves transforming a large matchbox into a miniature camera.
Materials Needed:
- A medium-sized matchbox
- Black adhesive foil or black cardstock
- Gray cardstock
- 1 button
- 1 screw-top jar lid
- 6 self-adhesive rhinestones or a white pen
- 1 eyelet
Tools Required:
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Super glue or hot glue
- Optional: White Edding marker
- Optional: Eyelet pliers
Crafting Instructions:
Prepare the Matchbox Casing: Cover the outer sleeve of the matchbox with black adhesive foil. Alternatively, black cardstock can be used and glued securely.
Add Detail Strips: Glue a strip of gray cardstock centrally onto the front and back of the covered matchbox sleeve.
Create the Shutter Button: Attach a button to the upper left edge of the sleeve using super glue or hot glue. This will serve as the camera’s shutter button.
Assemble the Lens: Cut a circle from black cardstock, sized to fit the inside of the screw-top jar lid. Glue this circle into the lid.
Attach the Lens: Secure the prepared jar lid centrally onto the front of the matchbox sleeve using hot glue or super glue.
Simulate the Flash: Affix six self-adhesive rhinestones to the upper right side of the sleeve to represent the camera’s flash. Alternatively, the flash can be drawn with a white Edding marker.
Add Extra Details: Other buttons or lights can be drawn on using a marker. For a more tactile element, an eyelet can be attached by punching a hole and securing it with eyelet pliers.
Once completed, the miniature camera is ready to be filled with money or a gift coupon.
