Crafting Roses from Tealight Holders

Crafting Roses from Tealight Holders
This guide outlines the process of creating decorative roses using aluminum tealight holders.
Materials Needed:
- Hot glue
- Approx. 5 cm crafting wire
- Aluminum foil
- 3 to a maximum of 4 tealight holders per rose
Instructions:
- Prepare the Tealight Holders: Cut each tealight holder almost to the center. Two holders should be cut 4 times, and two holders should be cut 5 times. Round off the corners of the cut sections.
- Shape the Petals: Gently shape the cut sections to resemble petals. Aluminum is flexible, making this step easier to achieve with a teaspoon and fingernails.
- Create the Flower Center: Using a needle, carefully drill a small hole in the center of each prepared tealight holder. Form a small ball of aluminum foil and thread it onto the crafting wire. This will serve as the center of the rose.
- Assemble the Rose: Apply a dab of hot glue to the inside of each tealight holder. Thread the first holder (cut 5 times) onto the wire, positioning the petals snugly around the foil ball.
- Continue Assembly: For the second holder (cut 5 times), thread it onto the wire, arranging the petals slightly less tightly around the base. Apply a dab of glue to the bottom of this holder.
- Complete the Rose: Continue threading the remaining holders (cut 4 times) onto the wire, applying glue to the base of each as you go, until the rose is complete.
Optional embellishments, such as gilding the roses, can be applied.
